Two veterans of the various Seattle music scenes have joined together to blend their influences of blues, folk, reggae, blue grass, and African music. All served to you with their own gourmet flavor of acoustic guitars. Jimmy Free and Randy Shay have been satisfying the hungry ear ever since they met back in the 60s.
When you listen to Acoustic Snacks you are reminded of a time, less then one hundred years ago, when any music you heard was being played by a living playing musician standing near you. Living rooms were dance halls and the musicians were your neighbors.
Jimmy and Randy have created an acoustic instrumental sound with harmonies that sticks to your ribs and is so deliciously addictive you will be remembering and humming the tunes for a long time. There repertoire includes songs by Muddy Waters, Bob Marley, Thelonious Monk, Mississippi John Hurt, to name a few, always with a few of their own mixed in. Appealing to a wide variety of musical tastes, young and old, you can’t get enough of Acoustic Snacks.
