Welcome to the Acoustic Stage MySpace page. Stay a while, I'll put the kettle on and tell you a little bit about us.
Acoustic Stage began when one woman decided to put on an open mic night in a disused function room above an out of the way Cambridge student pub.
Skip to today and Acoustic Stage is now a small team of dedicated individuals and friends who have so many fingers in so many pies that Simple Simon would be driven crazy by the thought.
If you haven't heard of us never fear, check out our pictures section for a selection of flyers and posters of past and current endeavours. We currently put on bands and artists at 5 venues in Cambridge, UK. We are also responsible for the production and programming for Pink Festival Ladyfest Cambridge, Stage 3 at The Cambridge Rock Festival, and Willow Stage at Rhythms Of The World Festival in Hitchin.
Who I'd like to meet:
We would most certanly like to meet you.
If you have any interest in joining our troup as a stage manager, stage hand, sound or light engineer, musician, venue or friend then get in touch. We require volunteers for every role to help us grow. In return we promise free extensive training in all aspects of sound, light and event management plus entry into any event we host and best of all the tea and biscuits are on us.
We currently organise events at The Boathouse, The Corner House and Nusha, as well as production and programming for PINK FESTIVAL,LADYFEST CAMBRIDGE, We are always looking at starting new projects and finding ways of helping up and coming artists. If you need gigs, help, advice,
equipment hire, pa hire drop us a message. If we can't help personally we'll try and put you in the direction of someone who can!
We are a very green friendly organisation so please send any gig requests via the myspace or email, we don't think it's necessary to waste valuable resources when you can simply use the power of the internet to demonstrate your skills (plus the post round here is a bit rubbish)
We have our next mini-festival at 93 Feet East on Saturday 25th July with an amazing line-up along with our usual Burlesque, performance art and Electro DJ’s. Check out the ticket link below. See you there.

Had a great 7 weeks in Cambridge visiting Acoustic Stage venues (esp the Corner House) and other places. You have an amazing music scene in Cambridge, which I wrote about quite a bit in my blog. http://ledouxjoseph.blogspot.com/
My band The Amygddaloids are playing here in NYC tomorrow. Spread the word to your friends in NY. Joe
Hi AcousticStage, we are Mumblypegs an acoustic duo from Sandy. We would love to play at the Boathouse. Please give us a listen and let us know what you think. Or, if you wanted to hear us live, you could tune into BBC Radio Cambridgeshire tomorrow evening at 6. Much love, Mumblypegs x
I've been in Cambridge for several weeks. One of my favorite activities is the open mic at the Corner House on Sundays. There's a wonderful atomosphere there. I've written about it in some of my blogs on my life and pursuit of the ultimate musical expereicne in Cambridge. http://ledouxjoseph.blogspot.com/ Headed back to NY in 10 days or so. It's been great. Keep up the good work. Check out our band's new CD, with Rosanee Cash (daughgter of Johnny and Grammy Awardee herselfl) on two of the songs. www.amygdaloids.net
