10 years of New Labour U.S. Foreign Policy T.W.A.T. Anarchism Booze Crass Conflict Misfits F-Minus The Pogues Dead Kennedys King Prawn The Clash 2-Tone..............
It all started when 5 friends combined their love of punk music with a mutual sense of outrage and disillusionment with life in modern Britain. Wanting to vent their anger while promoting an anarchistic message of peace and co-existence they formed The A.C.s.
Coming from an array of local punk/ska/hardcore bands (Wrecked ‘Em, The Deadenders, The Skivers…. Etc etc) we quickly put together a strong set influenced by Crass, Conflict and Dead Kennedys (to name just a few). These songs quickly took shape, forming the basis of the first (and only) album- CAUTION: CONTAINS WORDS, THOUGHTS AND IDEAS.
Following a successful first year together guitarist, producer and songsmith Pete was replaced by Rob (the metal) Harrop who brought 7 strings and a bag of riffs into the mix. After many fine shows and new material Rob also left the fold leaving a gaping hole for new guitarist. This hole was soon filled by Charlie of Norwich punk supremos Standalone, who brought us a large dose of speed and an extra long bar tab!
The new lineup rocked on until late 2008 when personal issues lead to the departure of lead vocalist Joe. With the 2 main elements of the original line-up now out of the band we thought it best to call it a day and lay the ACs to rest.
We would like to thank evryone we met and who helped us along the way- you all made it a fantastic 2 years. Special thanks go out to Joe, Pete, Rob, Martin, Georgia and Rufus for all their help and support. As well as Al and the Pandemonium Crew, Hotwired, Optic Nerves, Dirty Protest, Devoid, Paul @ the Marquee, Mustard Pete and Lucy, Aiden & Sound 4 a £ Promos, Saigon Kiss, Skullfuck and the Southend crew, Jamie and all at Cosmic Puffin, Simon @ Mychoonz, Deadenders, Righteous Rich, Jugs and Jugout promos, Mild Peril, SBWL, and many more to add when i remember them....
The remaining A.C.s personnel can now be found punking it up under the moniker The Culprits check us out on myspace . Oh and for the literally thousands of people who have asked (ok....2) A.C.s stands for AWKWARD CUNTS........

LAST GANG IN TOWN STRUMMERVILLE BENEFIT & LAST GANG’S 6th BIRTHDAY GIG
THE YALLA YALLAS are a fantastic punk rock ‘n’ roll band from Leeds. Their name was chosen as a rallying call to unify. “So long liberty, lets forget you didn’t show. Not in my time” a sentiment expressed on an early Joe Strummer recording & one which struck a chord with the band and their audience. Some members have appeared in The Dead Pets, 3milehigh & The Gushers & they now share a common goal to bring anthemic mayhem to wherever they play. http://www.myspace.com/theyallayallas
THE TAGNUTS Cambridge “Gimp-Core” ska punkers are back! After almost a year away The Tagnuts are ready to do it again. This is the hometown night of a UK tour that sees them playing across the country.http://www.myspace.com/thetagnuts
THE TEN-O-SEVENS These four lads combine elements of early punk rock with the sound & attitude of the most obnoxious of garage punk bands. Their songs are fast, loud, snotty & catchy simple chord tight style tunes that will stick to your head like cheap superglue! http://www.myspace.com/krummylanky

THE RESTARTS - The Restarts first crawled out of the North London Squat scene well over a decade ago. Serial dole scroungers the lot of them, they named their band after the dreaded 'back to work' interviews and set about touting their stroppy four-chord punk to spiky-haired audiences around the world. Staying true to their ideals, and the DIY culture at the true subversive heart of punk the Restarts have toured all over Europe, the US and Canada, and with over 9 releases the Restarts have found themselves playing their part in the world wide network of DIY Punk Rock. Combining their socially aware lyrics with raw vocals and plenty of chorus “shout-a-longs” their abrasive yet catchy UK punk made for one of the finest performances at last years Rebellion festival. www. myspace. com/therestarts
I.C.H. - The last 5 years have seen this band become a local phenomenon and they’ve just secured a slot at the prestigious Rebellion punk festival in 2009. With sharply observed lyrics and a barrage of guitars ICH’s punk anthems will have you punching the air and shouting along ‘til the cider runs out. www. myspace. com/ichcolchesterpunx
