Tim Acres (vocals, guitar) Dan Bauman (bass guitar) Andy Harris (drums)
Influences
These may or may not be influences. They are, however, all bands that I'm diggin' right about now:
Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Police, Jet, Tonic, The Foo Fighters, Keane, U2, Travis, Queens of the Stone Age, Men At Work, Counting Crows, Josh Rouse, Soundgarden, Big Wreck, Stereophonics, The Cult, early Radio Head, The Doves, early R.E.M., Switchfoot, Tom Petty, AM, Guns N Roses, The Replacements, Peter Gabriel, etc, etc, etc. No matter who does it or what style it is, a good song is a good song.

"I love these guys and they are going to be huge. And if not, there is something wrong with the world!" (Bradley J, Program Director KJCK Kansas).
Since their inception in early 2000, ACRES has quickly emerged as a strong voice on the southeastern music scene. As one of Atlanta, GAs premier pop/rock talents, ACRES has shared the stage with renowned acts such as Collective Soul, Jason Mraz, Train, Tantric, Alice Peacock, Oleander, Josh Joplin, Rusted Root, Drivin N Cryin, and Arrested Development. ACRES combines powerful melodies, gritty guitars, a tight rhythm section, and strong story lines in songs which transcend passing fads and capture the attention of fans and music critics alike. This was evident when ACRES won four readers choice awards in Atlantas premiere entertainment magazine Creative Loafings best of Atlanta 2002 issue, including best overall band, best rock band, best vocalist, and best songwriter. The band features Tim Acres (guitar, lead vocals), Dan Bauman (bass guitar), and Andy Harris (drums).
February 2005 marked the release of the second ACRES CD 3 Minute Movies featuring the single Dirty Little Secret which made the top ten best rock/alternative song list in the 2004 USA Songwriting Competition. In May 2005 ACRES made their television debut, featured on the TBS documentary show TBS Storyline. The show outlines the bands music and history, and is still aired periodically. In June, 2005, ACRES played for an estimated 14,000 people at Turner Classics Screen on the Green in Piedmont Park, Atlanta. The band recently released their third studio album, For the Lost and Found, May 2006. Their latest single Get Out Again is already receiving airplay on WNNX 99X's Organic X in Atlanta.
Two songs written by front man Tim Acres are featured in the award winning indie feature film Novem (www.novemsongs.com) and ACRES is also featured on the sound track for Lions Gates Motor Home Massacre.
Their 2002 independent release Pet Rocks received critical acclaim and nationwide radio exposure. ACRES received airplay on commercial stations across the United States, including daytime BDS airplay on WPLJ in New York (nationally ranked ..1 market), KIIS in Los Angeles (nationally ranked ..2 market), and other BDS stations. Soon after hitting the airwaves, ACRES single One Way Believe responded immediately with station programmers, and shot into the top ten most requested on Panama City Floridas Hot107.9, a nearly unheard of feat for an unsigned act. The band has since received international recognition with seven thousand radio spins in Taiwan to date.
ACRES has played for tens of thousands of enthusiastic music fans at festivals, colleges, clubs, and music conference showcases in the south (including Music Midtown, Dogwood Festival, Coca-Colas On the Bricks, Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta, the U.S. Army, Turner Broadcasting, Atlanta Thrashers, Atlanta Braves, etc.) and they continue to draw large audiences with their explosive live show.
