". . .Arces Of Ocean are the new breed of math-rock".
7.8 / 10 theblackandwhitemag.com, Sept 2007
". . .its to Acres Of Oceans’ credit that both tracks are never anything less than captivating."
myspace.com/ashortfanzineaboutrocking, Dec 2007
". . .this two track demo is one of the best free things you will ever find, 12 minutes of glorious free music what are you waiting for?"
8/10 Gary Davidson
"Midlands quartet Acres of Ocean definitely have some Aaron Turner admiration going on. Their demo art is remarkably similiar to Isis 'Oceanic', and the second track is called, er, 'Oceanic'. That aside, these progressive rockers dish up two hefty slabs of musical meatiness to get your teeth firmly into".
Rock Sound Magazine, Oct 2007
"If the desire to 'push the boundaries' part reminds you a little too much of Angels And Airwaves, I wouldn't start worrying. This is different to your normal prog of previous mentioned band and quite a different beast from the masters such as Opeth and Dream Theatre. Acres of Ocean, as the name suggests, create progressive math rock with more in common with Mono than the more commonly associated bands of the genre".
Richard Heaven, Noise Addiction, July 2009
". . .an excellent sense of pace and timing, writing tracks that show that you don’t have to go hard and heavy all the time to do Rock, or that Prog-Rock doesn’t have to be boring and self-indulgent. They’ve got some great ideas and know how to execute them to maximum effect, and on the night it made for another strong set from a band with strong identity, excellent musicianship and a compelling musical direction.”
Stephen Hubyba, Surface Unsigned, June 2008
"Good in the studio and incredible live it's only a matter of time before they are signed. They blend modern prog and technical rock very well and have a justified, but never arrogant, swagger to their work. . ."
Chop, www.chopmusic.co.uk - June 2008
