Art, history, photography, science, pestering certain individuals with questions, pop culture... lots-o-stuff!
Music
Oh geez, there are too many to list. I like a wide range of sounds. Music by the Beatles were among the first music I heard as a child and have since spent much time over the years studying them and their music. Don't care too much for the stamped-out "music" that's out... must be getting old...
Movies
WALL-E!!!
There are too many to list. I like a lot of the films from the '30s and '40s (I have an interest in that period, dontcha know). I like a sci-fi, and other genres, though I'm not that big on action flicks (I like a few, but for the most part, they're dumb), and not all that wild about slasher/horror films. That's me.
Television
Television?
Books
Non-fiction. Give me a history book or something on the space program and I'm a happy camper.
Heroes

I'm an artist living and working in the beautiful state of Iowa.
I love history. Doesn't really matter the subject, though I have a soft spot for all things Iowa, WWII and space exploration. I spend much of my time with my nose in a book or some kind of research online. Hope to have some books published in the near future. I've also been involved in teaching through living history.
As an artist I am rooted in illustration, drafting and fine arts. I moonlight as a graphic designer and the occasional IT/web guy. I recently took the plunge to learn 3D rendering software. I don't mind it, but I still prefer to work with a pencil or brush.
You can learn more about me at either one of the websites linked above. But if that's not enough for you, feel free to ask.
Thanks for stopping by.
Who I'd like to meet: About 90% of my friendships and relationships have been 'out of nowhere'. I'm kind of a hermit and these relationships happen despite myself, but am glad they happen. The concept of a 'Who I'd Like to Meet' feels like an on-line dating question... not my scene. So there you have it.
Anyway, if you're current friend, friend long lost, fan, genuine human being, or whatever, welcome.
What's up, JE? Hope you've been well--I kind of dropped off the planet for a while. Hey, I'm gonna be in DSM for a very brief period of time here next week if you're around. If you're there, maybe we could get some Perkins?
