ACTION ROCKS
Last year one of my closest friend’s little boys aged 3 was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. As a musician I felt the best way I could help was to put on an event in aid of the charity which helps sufferers and their families and so ACTION ROCKS was born.
The event will be taking place at the 300 capacity Howden Park Centre Auditorium in Livingston on Saturday 12th September
This page will be used to raise awareness of the event, the charity and ultimately the condition in the hope we can raise much needed funds to assist Action Duchenne in their research.
I hope you can make it to the event and if not you can still make a difference by making a donation no matter how small at
Thank You
Sid

What is Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy?
Duchenne is a fatal muscle wasting condition, affecting mainly boys, for which there is currently no cure.
On average 2 boys are born every week with Duchenne. Diagnosed in early childhood these young children face a life confined to a wheelchair from as young as 8. In their teenage years as their muscles weaken they lose the ability to do everyday tasks such as feed themselves. Their hearts and lungs weaken and as a result they face a short life of between 18-25 years. Around 100 young lives are lost to Duchenne every year.
Who are Action Duchenne?
Action Duchenne are a dedicated charity working towards better standards of care and finding a cure.
Studies and clinical trials are now approaching critical stages with very promising signs ahead, so finding the funds to continue are now vital.
With YOUR help we can make a difference...
