The short video clip below is an example of something that was shot as part of the AUDITION WORKSHOP program at The Chicago Actors Studio. Students are taken to various on site locations and given experience in front of the camera. They can use these clips for their Acting Demo DVDs that the school helps them produce to send out to casting personal and to post them on their individual website. There are more examples of these that you may view by pressing the "VIDEO" link under the photo at the top of this page. This clip features Edward Dennis and CAS student Sony Starr.

About me: The Chicago Actors Studio is one of the top acting training schools in the Midwest with affiliations in the New York and Los Angeles areas. CAS fully understands that most individuals that search for a place to study and where to put their trust and faith, have no reference point or knowledge as to how to judge between good and bad training. This is especially true for those who are getting into the industry for the first time. It is easy for a novice to spend endless amounts of money and more importantly, time, before that individual realizes that they are wasting all their valuable efforts. Actually, most never realize that they are receiving worthless or at best, below standard training. We here at the Chicago Actors Studio have a strong respect for the performing arts industry and take the same interest in our students and the programs offered here. We want you to have the proper kind of input; the kind that will allow you to make an educated decision on the best place for you to learn your craft, so you're not just making a guess. We also respect the fact that you need to choose an institution and an environment that will, in fact, fulfill your goals.

Who I'd like to meet:
All those who'd like to network within the arts world, artists, actors, musicians, writers, dreamers, creators, and aspiring thespians of all stripes.
"You have my personal invitation to stop on by with no obligation, except to yourself, and sit in on a class. It's the absolute only way to know the difference between average training and the professional training you will be getting here at The Chicago Actors Studio--training that will get you to where you want to go by staff members and coaches that actually care that you get there." -Edward Dennis Fogell, Artistic Director
