The Chicago Actors Studio is one of the top acting training schools in the Midwest with affiliations in the New York and Los Angeles areas. CAS fully understands that most individuals that search for a place to study and where to put their trust and faith, have no reference point or knowledge as to how to judge between good and bad training. This is especially true for those who are getting into the industry for the first time. It is easy for a novice to spend endless amounts of money and more importantly, time, before that individual realizes that they are wasting all their valuable efforts. We also respect the fact that you need to choose an institution and an environment that will, in fact, fulfill your goals. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Class Schedule (Subject to Change): Acting As A Craft - $290.00 for 10 Weeks This uniquely designed master class workshop incorporates a broad range of necessary acting skills. Classes are divided into three specialized training levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Professional. Areas covered include Scene Study exercises, Character Development, Improvisations, Emotional Recall, Sense Memory, Monologues, Cold Readings, Intro to Shakespeare, Movement and Voice, Acting for the Stage, Acting for the Camera and more! Mondays - 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM (Beginner) Wednesdays - 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM (Advanced) --- Audition Power - $216 for 6 weeks ($144 if currently enrolled in Acting as a Craft) Stop beating yourself up after each audition. Learn to control the process instead of the audition controlling you. Learn how to energize your monologues and readings. Know the skills for creating instantaneous relationships with your audition partners. Learn about acting for the camera, the ear prompter, how to handle call backs, what to wear on auditions, what makes an eye-catching headshot, how to put together your resume, and many more important skills.
