"Have you ever seen someone rock the hell out of a xylophone/vibraphone? Eric Mullis easily gets into the groove and hammers away on that thing as he's joined by an amazing cast of musicians. Phillip W. Berkley III brings the right amount of funky bass to the instrumental jazz fusion outfit. They're always entertaining and consistently getting the crowd moving."

Actual Proof is an original instrumental group whose music emphasizes rich grooves and rhythmic explorations. The group stands out from other bands since they blend mallet percussion (vibes and marimba), keys, funk bass, samples, and acoustic and electronic percussion. The group can perform a jazz-fusion set for jazz venues and a nastier funk set for clubs and bars.
The members of Actual Proof bring bring a wide array of influences, backgrounds, and skills to the group. Each member is a skilled soloist who strives to integrate their improvisations into the development of the groove. The band is currently performing regularly in the Charlotte NC as well as in other cities in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Actual Proof is proud to be a member of the Carolinas Live Music Society (www.carolinaslivemusic.net).
