Hi Adair's crew! The boys in the Dean Seltzer Band are excited to be playing at your joint this Thusday (6/11)! It's gonna be a blast! Please invite all your rowdiest friends to come party with the band, okay? Rick
we have so much hunger and homelessness in our own back yard and on our own streets. and we walk right by, and sometimes over it, hoping and praying they don't ask us for anything.
well today and all weekend i challenge you to join me in a miss a meal campaign. my friend joe taught me this model that i am extending to you with a twist. give up one meal a day on saturday and sunday and go deliver a meal to someone who can't provide it for themselves. find them. it isn't that hard. don't leave it up to someone else to do. the small hunger you feel by your sacrifice will help you remember why you are doing it. hunger sucks.
i suggest you go with a friend. try to speak to the person you choose to help, if they are willing or able. most people at this point begin to get uncomfortable. good. get outside your comfort zone. it is getting to the point that humans are so disconnected that if a dog was in the street, it is more likely to get help than a human. i am not suggesting that dogs aren't worth it. i think you understand me.
