About me:
Adam Ayan is a Mastering Engineer in the music industry...he works at Gateway Mastering studios in Portland, ME, and began his mastering career as assistant to mastering legend Bob Ludwig. Adam's mastering credits include projects for Faith Hill, The Rolling Stones, Nine Inch Nails, Sarah McLachlan, The Foo Fighters, Carrie Underwood, A Perfect Circle, Linkin Park, Rush, Paul Westerberg, Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban, Teddy Geiger, Bob Marley, Phish, Tim McGraw and Nirvana, among others. In 2006 Adam won his first Grammy Award for his mastering work on Jelly Roll Morton's "The Complete Library of Congress Recordings". In 2007, Adam won 2 Latin Grammy Awards for his mastering work on the Juan Luis Guerra album "La Llave De Mi Corazon." Adam was nominated again this year (the 50th Annual Grammy Awards) for a Grammy Award in the category of "Album of the Year" for his mastering work on Vince Gill's latest release "These Days." He has also been nominated for several TEC Awards, including nominations for his surround mastering work on the Nine Inch Nails album "With Teeth", surround mastering work on the Barenaked Ladies album "Barenaked Ladies Are Me", surround mastering work on the Dream Theater album "Score XOX", and mastering for the Rascal Flatts single "What Hurts The Most". Adam has mastered several #1 albums across various genres of music, and has over 40 Gold, Platinum & Multi-Platinum projects to his credit to date.
Adam is also the Chairman and a Co-Founder of the Portland Music Foundation, a new non-profit organization whose charge is to better organize, support, nurture, and promote the thriving music scene of Portland, ME.
