Adam Bones is a direct reflection of the charismatic music that he generates. Similar to his well-crafted look, he combines pure rock, melodic pop hooks and raw energy to concoct a lethal brew of rock 'n' roll that’ll get your hips shakin'. Despite his youth, Adam is something of a traditionalist, eschewing modern production techniques and gimmicks in favor of a back-to-basics approach that relies on genuine vocal and instrumental prowess and the ability to write actual hooks.
Hailing from Chicago, Adam Bones fronted high-energy rock 'n' roll quartet the Late Nights. After the band broke up, he soon made is way to Los Angeles. An L.A. transplant, Bones began his gigging rounds two years ago at such notable clubs as Knitting Factory Hollywood, Viper Room, Hotel Cafe, The Roxy, and King King to name a few.
Since arriving, he has taken his newest batch of done-the-way-you-like-‘em songs into the studio with a variety of producers and players. Bones initially worked with rock 'n' roll guru Bruce Duff (Angus Khan, Adz) of producing duo Messiaz (Prima Donna, Thor, Circle). Most recently, Adam prepared a new EP titled Feel For Tomorrow, recorded by producer/composer Evan Beigel (Ambrose, Eddie Cohen, Troup, Merchants of Moonshine) and mixed/mastered by Randy Wine (U2, Bruce Springsteen, Dido, Danzig, Santana). Feel For Tomorrow is a sturdy hybrid of Who/Tom Petty style rock ‘n’ roll, the power pop of Cheap Trick and Tinted Windows, and a sure-fire ballad meets balls out rock in the form of the title track. The clear, ringing guitars are guided by Adam’s songwriting panache; he avoids the typical chord changes and usual melodic inventions, mapping his own individual musical journeys. Using the familiar to carve out something highly original seems to be an Adam Bones trademark.
Over the past few years Bones has shared the stage with Sylvain Sylvain (of New York Dolls), Rooney, The Ringers, Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (of Jellyfish), Mike Viola and Lee Ving.
Most recently, Bones embarked on a two-week long tour with LA singer/songwriter, Ari Shine (Bongo Beat Records), hitting up cities up and down the west coast including Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, Ashland, Portland, Tacoma, Seattle, Boise, Reno and Stockton. The two man rock n roll wrecking machine played solo acoustic sets as well as accompanied one another on songs playing lead electric guitar, singing backing vocals and some tambourine stomping. Bones and Shine shared the stage with acts such as Bobby Long, Terra Naomi and Throwback Suburbia. The duo received fantastic positive feedback from audiences and made many new fans at each stop.
In October of ’08, Bones filled in and toured with Australian powerpop group, the Wellingtons (Thistime - Japan, Rock Indianna - Spain, Lojinx - U.K., Zip - US). The band played in cities all over the US sharing the stage with Scissors for Lefty, the Click Five, the Major Labels and even toured the west coast with powerpop cult icon, Bleu. At their Hollywood stop, Kim Shattuck of the Muffs joined the Bones/Wellingtons on stage.
Adam Bones' clear vision of making authentic rock 'n' roll won’t disappoint. Cutting through the fat, Bones unites brain embedding hooks with the might of the electric guitar. So, ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together, get ready to sweat and start moving your ass because Adam Bones is gonna rock it up some!
"Adam Bones, soulful power pop/classic rock which is brimming with talent and confidence!" - David Bash, Founder/CEO of International Pop Overthrow
"LA based rocker Adam Bones is traditional power pop artists with modern flair and youthful style. Fans of Bleu, Jet and Ok Go will find his debut EP fresh and compelling... Opening with the energetic "I Had You" he vocally reminds me of Elvis Presley's rich baritone, and combined with those melodic guitar riffs, it's a winner. He recently finished IPO in LA and after the country-pop of "Shouldn't Love" I'm sure it was a great show. The gentle ballad "Feel For Tomorrow" is a deceptively simple, but an effective song that builds into an arena rock anthem styled after The Who. The buzzing hooks in "How Hard I Needed You" is another keeper along the lines of Lenny Kravitz, and I can't wait for the full length album already. If you're looking for a future power pop star -- here he is. 8 out of 10" - Aaron at www.powerpopaholic.com
Adam Bones "combines pure rock, melodic pop hooks and raw energy to concoct a lethal brew of rock 'n' roll that’ll get your hips shakin'". He and his cohorts have gone back to basics on their new 5 track EP, "Feel For Tomorrow" - a 'bare bones' approach, if you will.
If Adam Bones has any skeletons in his closet, they all come out to play on "Feel For Tomorrow". His influences stretch all the way back to The Who and reach up to today's modern rock. The sound is fun garage rock, with Adam's voice strongly reminiscent of Scott Blasey of The Clarks. Bones has a knack for crafting smart pop hooks, but what I enjoy most is that he cranks up the amps and his confidence to deliver the authentic rock sound and attitude sorely missed from today's music. He proves his versatility on these five tracks, stomping through Kinks territory on the crunchy opener, "I Had You", while strolling near alt-country terrain on "Shouldn't Love", then slipping through some funky sleaze rock on "How Hard I Needed You".
Make no 'bones' (ahem) about it, this short and sweet EP is great end of summer music. He reminds me a lot of Eugene Edwards, but I would check this one out if you fancy The Clarks, Gin Blossoms, or OK Go. - Bill's Music Forum

Adam Bones comes on like a blast from a hidden time capsule, reverberating melodic tune smithing with authentic skinny tie zeal. This sonic gem glistens, and begs to be set on repeat. Adam Bones is a cool drink of water. Quenching a thirsty cry for untarnished rock music. At times Bone's vocals sound hauntingly reminiscent of Joey Ramone possessing Ray Davies. Musically he punches with The Who's solid driving attack, mixed with crisp power pop sensibility. If that's not enough to impress. Skilled beyond his craft, Bones wears a few caps, just as any savvy modern icon does. - Todd Complex of Hollywood Examiner
"They (Adam Bones and Ari Shine about their tour together in Nov '09) do have catchy pop-rock and power-pop songs that range across a broad spectrum - from Big Star to Jet, the Ramones and Billy Joel - and the enthusiasm to make it work with just electric and/or acoustic guitars." - Tony Sauro for Recordnet.com
