Hi. My name is Adam. My surname is pronounced bow-cher, like voucher. Americans seem to have the most trouble understanding this. I hate band/artist biographies written in the third person, when they're clearly written by the artist (who is usually doing the website and all the promotion too). I myself have been guilty of this in the past, but no more!
I play either solo acoustic or with my ace new full on electric band as Adam Boucher & The Dead Set. I call what I do Shoutyfolk, because apparently you have to give it a name so dullards can reference you. Oh yeah, and I'm from Bournemouth but now based in London. Yay!
Acoustic promoters: I hate to sound like a cunt, but please take the time to stop and listen to my music and maybe watch a video of me playing before asking me to play your night. I tend to say the word cunt a lot and have been known to goad audiences and generally not be your typical sit-on-a-stool acoustic act. I won't rule out playing your acoustic night, but please consider the fact that I'm not desperate for gigs and maybe we're both better off doing our own thing. End of speech...
Word up Adam, great stuff on here... Loving it. Hope all is well... Below is a free download link for myself and Dave Hughes 12-track split LP... Please take a listen and let me know what you think!

I'm happy to announce that my new album "Songs From The Films Of David Lynch" is out now.
"Truly unsettling and perplexingly brilliant... testament to both the quality of Lynch’s soundtracks and Truax’s talents" - The Skinny
"Truax is paying homage to a kindred spirit with this album. It's the best kind of tribute – affectionate and respectful, but with its own quirks and imaginative leaps and its own distinct identity." -The Scotsman
We're about to record a new EP but can't decide which songs to put on it. To avoid any more 'heated debates' we've decided to let the good people of the internet decide.
If you've got a spare few minutes, please head over to http://www.naomihateshumans.com - have a listen to the songs and rate them. We promise to stand by the opinions of the interweb. Even if you are wrong.
Aha you found me, Loving Hee Haw, most enjoyed and wikid set last Sataday, chuffed I blagged my mates up to go to the pub insteadof sitting about smoking pot for the evening! If your playing Salisbury again you have a sofa to crash on buddy peace
