Adam Daniel writes pop meditations—words that testify, music that bears witness.
Adam first came to public attention in 1999 with the release of his debut album Blue Pop. A Powerpop diary of the perils and joys of a claustrophobic romantic, All Music Guide named the CD “…among the best guitar-pop albums of the ‘90's…” Championed by fans worldwide, Blue Pop spent eight weeks in the CMJ (college radio) Top 100, garnered regular airplay on XM Satellite Radio and was featured in primetime TV programs and movies: Felicity, Jack and Jill, Jenifer (starring Laura San Giacomo) and The Matthew Shepard Story.
Discovered as both a lyricist and composer, in May 2000 Adam was invited to Miles Copeland's annual Castle songwriting retreat in France. That week he co-wrote a ballad called "Christmas Morning" with country music mainstays John Berry and Kim Richey, recorded by Berry and released on the compilation A Country Superstar Christmas, Vol. 4 alongside tracks by Travis Tritt, Toby Keith and Dolly Parton. CD NOW reviewed the song as: "…one of the finest new tunes of this holiday season."
Alongside his career as a singer-songwriter Adam also became an in-demand session guitarist, playing on recordings by The Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs and jazz saxaphone diva Mindi Abair.
In 2003 Adam went on hiatus from the music business to pursue academic interests. For more information, please visit: http://poeticinterconnections.org
In 2006 Adam resurfaced musically, reissuing Blue Pop and also releasing two collections of new recordings: a second Powerpop album 4-track demos: The Adam Daniel Frequency and a set of late-night piano ballads 4-track demos: Where You Are EP. All three of Adam Daniel's albums are available exclusively for digital download at major online retailers: iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster, etc.
In 2009 Adam began recording sessions for an upcoming/ongoing series of new singles and EP’s. First release from these sessions is the fierce rock n' roll single Dream Out Loud / Always All About You, issued in April—more pop meditations for his ever widening audience.
