  • Bio

......From the founding members of Boston’s cult favorite Rock-Tent-Revivalists Reverend Glasseye, comes THE INSECT FABLE, bringing a whole new thing to this stark new era... ..Combining a deep fascination for the American story song and brutal lyrical prose with a stunningly thematic and innovative soundscape, the INSECT FABLE create music that is hysterical and always intense. Consider it a psychedelia for the Modern Age; a bombastic celebration to the stark and shaky. From the dreamy organ filled ballad of “West Virginia” to the terrified and desperate waltz of “Notion of Kindness” and the Nihilistic end-of-the-world freak out of “Captain and the Skinny Girl”, the band has the high hopes of capturing God as music and creating a primal pandemonium that drives the fanatical into cults... ..They have even managed to make a promoter cry... ..The band started out as a recording project. After moving to Austin from Boston, Adam Glasseye (Reverend Glasseye, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club) locked himself away for a couple weeks to record songs inspired by his recent divorce. Not exactly known for his penchant of love songs, he turned towards the allegorical; the end of the world. Once ascending from his stale fluorescent lit closet with hours of material, he turned to his old band mate, Tim Maher (Reverend Glasseye and Slim Cessna as well) and fellow New Englander, Ryan Rooney (Kanko, TFO) to help him flesh out and collaborate the project. In needing more musicians, the trio turned to Lindsey Verrill (McMercy Family, Some say Leland, Burnt Sienna) on bass and ghostly Carter Family-esque vocals and Scott Hinman (Baltimore Harbor, Spooky Texas) on organ, and the Insect Fable was born. .. ..Though The INSECT FABLE is a new project, they already entertain an ever-loving, ever-growing fan base, in part due to their opening slot for the Dresden Dolls at Stubbs last June (not to mention the devout remains of the Reverend Glasseye cult)... ..Currently, The INSECT FABLE are putting the final touches on their first recording (as of yet, untitled) which features Brian Viglione (Dresden Dolls)..
