I'm a 27-year-old horror and sci-fi writer currently living on a small farm outside Bonaparte, Iowa with my wife Jessica and my son Logan (3) and my stepson Zavier (8).
I've completed my first novel in a series which is set in beautiful (yeah right) Cedar Rapids, Iowa called "The Blood Raven" and I am currently seeking representation. The first novel in the Blood Raven series is titled "Retribution". "Retribution" is a gothic adventure story about a newborn vampire's quest for vengence. The new website is up and running.
Go to www.thebloodraven.com to check it out. (We will be adding more to it in the near future, so check back often or subscribe to the mailing list for updates.)
I've also completed my first novel in my "E.R.A." series. E.R.A. follows the adventures of Iowa farm boy Alex Walker as he teams up with a trio of shape shifting aliens from the planet Replodia to protect humanity from planetary genocide and enslavement. You can learn more about E.R.A. and read a sample chapter at: www.earthrealmarmy.com
I'm also hard at work on a post-apocalyptic science fiction series of short stories entitled "The Weller."
I also study various martial arts, but my main style is Tang Soo Do and I dabble a little bit in Hapkido. No schools nearby or I'd do more than just dabble. I'm currently preparing for my red belt test in TSD.
Featuring my newest short story "Graveyard Shift."
Who I'd like to meet: I'd love to meet other writers and fans of the horror and science fiction genres. My wife and I enjoy traveling to science fiction conventions around the Midwest, so if you see us say hello... or "BRAINS!", whatever tickles your fancy.
Nice finally meeting you. I will be coming to Iowa again. When, I don't know.. but whenever that is, we can joust & you can tell me more about Red vs Blue!
I am sorry to hear that. But instead of saying "postpone", how about "modify"? Consider this: 2 combatants sitting at a table, wielding breadsticks... muahahaha. Or ditch the joust altogether & go with a poker showdown. Your call.
Same here - both are finished although I'm going back at one for one or two minor revisions. Hopefully I'll have them out this weekend. How goes it in the Midwest?
