The future does not belong to those who are content with today, apathetic toward common problems and their fellow man alike, timid and fearful in the face of bold projects and new ideas. -RFK
Oh so much. Early 40's/50's country, punk(it's an ideal not a sound), anything from when brothers still played instruments predominantly (jazz, soul, blues, etc.), 70's A.M. gold hits, lots of current "indie" stuff, OLD SCHOOL HIP-HOP(it's my goal one day to start an old school rap radio station. If we can have classic rock we can have old school rap. It will happen!!), experimental acts(Bride of No NO, Deer Hoof that sort of stuff, various overseas traditional music(don't ask, I guess I just like different sounds in general, good local rock bands or other acts that makes me want to boogie till I break something, early rock n roll where the sax player has all the solos("greaser" music I guess) and anything else that tickles my ears.
Movies
The good ones
Television
Non reality stuff
Books
Lots of non-fiction and well-written fiction.(What does it say that "Books" is at the bottom below music, movies and televison?)
Heroes
RFK(Bobby was the tough one), Johnny Cash(I make a lot of decisions by thinking,"What would Johnny do?")
, Evil Knievel(Anyone who ever carried around a jewel encrusted cane filled with Wild Turkey is always getting free pans at my place) and my folks
About me: I just moved to back to Texas from Jacksonville after and after Los Angeles.
What else should I share about myself? Let's see, I have a pretty bad NPR addiction. I'm up to 4 hours a day. When I'm not listening to NPR you'll find me listening to music. I do watch TV though just not a lot. I always have a book within reach too.
My dad was in the Army so I didn't really grow up in one spot. All that moving growing up though does give me a moving itch every 3 years now though.
That's it for now.
oh man, we got two new puppies and i've been on poop duty for like two weeks! we're handing one off this weekend in brownsville tho so there should be much less poop picking. enough about poop, what's new with u?
Hello Cowboy! It has been too long. You commented me just when I was wondering how you were doing. I thought that was pretty psychic of us. So How's life in the mother land? I'm surviving over here, but out of a job again. I can't win but I am going to keep trying. Let me know how you are when you get a chance. :)
