After astonishing audiences around the world with his virtuosic eight-octave vocal range and holding the Guinness World Records for the highest note ever sung, Brisbane-born Adam Lopez will this month release his album, Till the End of Time.
Inspired by his Spanish heritage, Adam has returned to his roots with the much-anticipated release of his Latino-influenced album, gospel style backing vocals and dance-floor hits.
“The album brings with it the funk of Earth, Wind & Fire in the extraordinary brass arrangements; rich gospel harmonies in the backing vocals, and the rhythm and blues contemporary feel of Chaka Kahn in a fusion based on my Latino heritage, and my love of virtuosic vocal performance,” said Lopez.
Till the End of Time also features collaborations with Australian jazz legend James Morrison and will be in all good music and bookstores from Saturday 26 April, released through ABC Music.

Recognised internationally not only for his ‘Highest Vocal Note’ Guinness World Records achievements, but for the ability to showcase his amazing eight-octave vocal range in a stunning range of originals and covers, Adam is no stranger to breaking records – he’s done it twice.
“Whilst studying Opera, I was working on vocal range and one day, as I was signing scales, my voice just flipped into this super register that sounded like a flute. I just kept going up and up and realised I was reaching the last eight notes of a piano,” Lopez said.
Using a type of falsetto known as a whistler register, Lopez can reach notes higher than a piano. His talents have taken him far and wide, including backing vocals for Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and The Corrs.
Adam’s extensive range is a product of years of vocal training and vocal exercises. Born to Andalucian parents, Adam was fed a diet of flamenco music from birth, first performing at the age of three. In 2005 Adam self released, promoted, recorded and produced his first public recording The Popera E.P. This 4 track CD demonstrates Adam’s experimentation with giving classical music a modern edge. One of his tracks from this EP boasts the highest vocal note ever recorded in history... Eb8! (3 semitones above a standard Grand Piano).
Due to international interest gained in CD sales of The Popera E.P, in 2006 Adam went on to record and self-release a 16-track album containing originals in the genre of Pop, R&B, Power Ballads and virtuoso classical songs remixed with contemporary rhythms such as Mozart’s “The Magic Flute – Mega Mix”.
Till the End of Time marks his debut on the ABC Music label and his recent feature article in the national Limelight magazine is generating extraordinary interest from music-lovers who are eager to hear what is officially the most extraordinary vocal instrument on the planet.
