So many people influence how an artist develops, i try to stay true to some kind of artistic process that embraces belief. That is, the belief that all the positive input from all the the artists you have ever been exposed to will allow you to create your own amazing art. All you must do is......................... start!
Sounds Like
chillin on the beach, while thinking about how the world works........
Well, it has arrived....the debut album 'Seasons Will Pass' from Melbourne singer/songwriter Adam Pavitt is here.
Recorded with Steve Vella (Liz Frencham, Fred Smith Band, Swoon) at Dog and Bear Studios, the album features a host of talented guest players who have helped create a grooving collection of eclectic songs. Pavitt speaks of both the personal and the political on this project which he describes as “a labor of love”. The album has a twelve page booklet featuring Pavitt’s artwork and snippets of the song lyrics that the keen eyed musician and graphic designer Simon Cleary has designed. Mastered by David Briggs (Goyte, Lucksmiths, Frente) at The Production Workshop, Pavitt has gone the indie road on this one...
Pavitt explains how his music has developed over the years, “I have been playing music since my mum gave me a guitar and I stuck a Batman sticker on it. My best mate in high school Brett Divola used to play songs to me down the phone line and taught me some funky riffs, from there it was all about garage band action, living on the coast and feeling the good vibes”.
Moving to Melbourne in 1999 for the music and culture, Pavitt has appeared at countless local venues including pubs, clubs, cafes, community centers, hospitals and schools. “My passion is sharing music with people". Pavitt has made music a daily practice and is currently running music groups for adults with a disability as well as performing his original compositions." I've been running groups like this for 6 years, have several groups on the go and I am always looking to form more. I get in and try to put a smile on everyone's faces through introducing people to various types of music, dance, storytelling and songwriting". Another recent development has been Pavitt's work as a entertainer for children. "One of my alter ego's, Captain Adam the pirate has made quite a few appearances now and is a real laugh. For this I write all my own material and have a ball,... no literally,... I have a ball!” Pavitt lives for spontaneous exploration through music that is all about life, love, loss, protest and hope.
‘Seasons Will Pass' is available online through itunes, Amazon.com, CDbaby.com and various other sites globally. Adam Pavitt was also recently named ‘Australian Artist of the Week” on 3WBC 94.1 FM Melbourne. So grab a copy of ‘Seasons Will Pass’ and enjoy the new sounds from Adam Pavitt.

"When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds. Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be." - Patanjali
