A Bit of History
Adam's Apples has been through a lot of changes since 2001 for a band that has been in-and-out of activity since then. But basically, the band can be broken down into 3.5 eras:
1. The Early Years - 2001-2002 - These were the years that brought you the following AA releases: You Told Your Mom I Was Crazy So Now I Have To Kill You, After School Special, Gates to the Dark Orchard, Walnuts Go Away: the live album, Discography. We were young, we didn't know our instruments well, yet we still ruled the world 98.3% of the time (I'll give you a few songs).
2. The Middle Years - 2002-2008 - These were the years that Adam's Apples sat idle for a while as Mike and Adam worked on a variety of projects both together and separately. However, as The Bapple loudly proclaims, they never rot. Mike and Adam made 2 EPs in this timespan: To Adam K, From Your Secret Admirers and Congratulations Al and Michelle. The music is a bit of a departure and took a soiree into silliness. Yet, it laid the groundwork for a particular passion Adam's Apples now has: making EPs based on people we know who got married.
3. NOW! - 2008-RIGHT NOW - Tim Fitzpatrick entered the Apple arena on drums, and with a similar mindset, beautiful music is now created. The Apples' latest release, Congratulations Jay and Leanne: It's Like Camping, is another wedding EP that fuses the Thrash Punk essence of Adam's Apples with the confident wackiness displayed in the middle years.
0.5 - Fantasy - never - Adam's Apples has had a wide, WIDE array of band members that were never really members, but were in theory. This era clearly brought you no releases; but, there's actually been some practices.
