A Dark In The Light is a band based out of Boston, Massachusetts that brings the melodic elements of southern blues together with grunge and brutal metal as one cohesive sound. The band was formed in Gainesville, Florida by Mike McCarthy (guitar/vocals) and Seth Roberts (drums/vocals), before re-locating to Boston to continue it's sonic assault on the world.
Through influences ranging from Pantera, to Alice in Chains, to The Allman Brothers, A Dark In The Light refuses to conform to any one sound and will not be limited by the constraints of modern heavy music. The band has recently recorded their debut E.P. entitled The Nature of What's To Come at the Moontower Studios in Cambridge, MA.

Great job as always last night guys! I believe we're playing Sept. 19th with you guys too. Let's keep the ball rolling. Get back to me about the Rebel thing you were talking about. -Bud
I just listened to your music.....and as a very open-minded person....I have to say I didn't really care for it. I thought the guitarists were great...the drummer....everything but the vocalist who is trying to sound like Satan. There is nothing worse than a singer whose words you can't understand. Not sure how far you have gone in the world of music making...and I am not trying to put you down.....but as far as I am concerned....that ruins it for me. :( I am just trying to express some constructive critizism so please don't take it as anything but that. Check out Dark Ages on my page.....they are good and they were recognized as such by Deka Records. They just finished recording their long awaited album...soon to be released! :) Thanks! Carrie
