   About Adastra
Formed in 2005 by guitarist Mark Grant and drummer Steve Platt, Adastra UK are a rising force on the Scottish music scene. A few line up changes saw the addition of bassist Andy Armour in 2006 and late 2008 brought in vocalist Barry Chiz. The band now have a revitalised energy and are ready to take their sound to the next level and with a number of upcoming gigs, they're looking towards playing to new audiences.

Adastra UK are a very unique sound in the Scottish music scene with their melodic metal/hard rock style. The band draw heavily on influences from European metal and classic rock and metal. They've have been told by BBC Radio DJ's that they're "Too rock for BBC Rock Radio" and have been referred to by Top Rock Radio as "Proper metal in a really classic style".

Special thanks to Liam Shepherd at GUILTY.x.DESIGN Productions, he is the guy that creates all of our logos and makes our music videos, so what you see on our profile is all created by him.
