Inter-Disciplinary Artist, Director, Actress, Composer and Celtic Harpist Born in Jerusalem in 1974, Adaya began to play the classic and Celtic harp at the age of 11, under the instruction of Adina Har-oz. Adaya studied at the Music and Dance Academy High School and at the Pelech High School for religious girls. After completing her military service in a teaching position, Adaya studied theatre and acting in the Nissan Nativ Studio in Jerusalem, completing her studies there in 1999. Adaya continued her music education at the Rimon School of Music, as well as with private tutors between the years 1999 and 2007. Adaya studied music composition with Oded Zehavi. Beginning in 2002, Adaya emerged as an independent artist, creating and directing compositions for stage, composing written music as well as improvisations. Adaya also participated as a performer in various theatrical, musical and performing arts projects. As an actress, Adaya performed with the "Tmuna" Theatrical Ensemble, and participated in various inter-disciplinary performances in Jerusalem. She additionally participated in literature and poetry evenings organized by "Tmuna" as well as events at Beit Bialik and the Inbal Theatre. As a performing musician, Adaya has been involved in creating music, playing and performing, while cooperating with other musicians and artists. As a composer, Adaya has created musical solopieces for harp, other instruments and various chamber ensembles. Adaya's creative projects include:"B'Aleph Sofa Shetanuach" (2010) a stage creation first performed by the "Tmuna" Theatre in Tel Aviv; "Ma'avarim" (Passages) (2009) a creation for contrabass and cello, created for and performed as part of the Shaar International Festival (organized by the Helicon Society for the Advancement of Poetry in Israel);"A Song Without Words" (2007) written for a clarinetist, soprano singer, stage and lighting, which premiered in the Teiva Hall in Yafo;"Hetkansut" (Convergence) (2006-2007) a creation for a dancer, singer and cellist, performed at an Inter-disciplinary evening by the "Tmuna" theatre and at the "Voice of the Word" Festival at the Inter-disciplinary Forum in Jerusalem;"Shulchan Aruch" (2003) an arrangement combining video and movement, created for the "Voice of the Word" Festival in Jerusalem; "Prologue" (2002) an arrangement written for an actor, actress, trapeze artist, and two musicians, created for and performed at the "Haramat Masach" Festival at the Susan Dallal Center in Tel Aviv.In addition to all the above, Adaya teaches and leads workshops in drama, music and creation
