If you are here its because you liked or loved the bands music, have seen this band live or have heard something about this up and coming melodic hard rock band from South Texas (Mercedes/Wesalco). This Quintet of musicians is made up of vocalist Rick “Phoenix” Manzo (ex-bands: Faultered state, Drain of life), Marty Petrelli – Lead guitars/back up vocals (ex-band: Fallen world), Mario Hector Garza – Battery/Drums (ex-band: Fallen World), Manny Garza – Guitars (ex-band: sick joke) and J.J. Garza – Bass (ex- bands: Blupilosky).
ADOA has been working hard and been around for close to 2 yrs now and have finally finished there debut CD titled “TURMOIL” to be released in March 2009 Spring break. The band has had several line-ups and has finally found the right pieces to the ADOA puzzle. The bands achievements include: several battle of the band titles/1st place wins, Featured on NBC 23 show “Living the beat”, Several mag & newspaper appearences on Mag X, Weird Mag, Festiva, Weslaco town crier, Mercedes enterprise and radio interviews with Q94.5 (Mcallen, Tx.) and 93.3 wrfr (rockland, Maine) show “Live from the pit” and opening for Stereoside, Earshot, Trust Company and more to come.
ADOA has been causing curiosity among rock fans in and out of the rio grande valley in their short but quick rising career. The music has been described as a sound of massive guitars, powerful lyrics, and catchy melodies that will keep you moving no matter what type of music is your preference. The live show has been known to quickly capture and make you a believer . A day of ashes is now ready to tour and promote “TURMOIL” and are now talking to labels and booking several shows for 2009.
