About A Day Once Dead [NEEDS GUITARIST, READ BLOG!!!!!]

"People think that being in a band is easy. Write some songs, play some shows, get signed, be a millionaire... Done. What people tend to not realize is that musicians are the hardest working, most dedicated and persevering people out there, and without these traits, it's impossible to achieve any type of success. Hailing from Chester County, Pennsylvania, melodic metalcore wizards A Day Once Dead know all about perseverance and hard work. They broke out into the local metal scene in 2006, following the big break of bands like August Burns Red (who come from Lancaster), looking to make a name for themselves. This is where the hard work comes in. ADOD keeps a consistent practice schedule of at least twice a week, and will rarely turn down an opportunity to play a show. This has gained them not only a dedicated fanbase, but access to some of the biggest venues in the area, and the honor of being able to play shows opening for bands like Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, and Bury Your Dead. Their fans helped push them onstage for the Reading, PA, Music As A Weapon Tour in April, by coming out and supporting them at Headbang For The Highway Battle of the Bands at the Silo, in Reading. ADOD gives back to their fans, though, as they cut the price of the tickets for the Battle of the Bands from $12 to $5, absorbing the difference in the cost themselves."
"Although metalcore has undergone few rennovations since it first emerged in the early 21st century, A Day Once Dead began bringing their own flavor to it as soon as they emerged on the scene. They describe themselves as "melodic metalcore" but their unique sound goes so far beyond that. Vocalist, Doug Hill, sounds like the offspring of the brutality of Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, and the singing chops of Killswitch's Howard Jones, as he leads the crowd in chants and sing-alongs. The dual-dueling of Guitarist Mike Fenton, and Shawn Hackett, will blow you away, as they sweep between arpeggios and breakdowns in the blink of an eye (which will make finding a new guitarist even more difficult...), trading off on solos like Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, while bassist Kyle Nahrgang walks up and down the neck in between guitar-throws. Josh Letting adds such a fullness and heaviness to their sound with the drums that at first, you wouldn't even be able to tell that they are playing in E-Standard, an oddity amongst bands in their genre, who typically play in Drop-C. I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks
