Don't get me wrong, I think the internet is a wonderful thing. It has opened up a whole new world for people and how they communicate with each other. However, it has also made people think that just because they bought a video camera they are now filmmakers. I grew up on classic TV shows such as Cheers, Taxi, and The Cosby Show. When talent to the set actualy meant trained professionals with creative minds and wonderfully orchestrated scripts performed like a well oiled machine. Those days have now turned into two idiots in Montana telling knock knock jokes and and slapping each other in the face and calling it a TV show idea. What was once considered home videos are now being pawned on youtube as entertainment. Please. Lets leave the entertainment to the men and woman who have been working at the craft for years. Lets get back to the days when celebrity was a myth. When there was a certian cache about Hollywood. The mystique is now gone because Julie who lives across the street from you was on Big Brother or John ate a dog nuts on Fear Factor. I dont go into a hospital and try and perform brain surgery, I leave that to the trained doctors. So do me a favor and look at the receipt on the video camera you bought and show me where it says you are now a Filmmaker.
