Addict Films is an independant production company which develops and produces feature films, short films, documentaries, music videos, and other video productions.
In 1999, Mathieu Peteul, Xavier Dussoix and César Ducasse joined and produced numerous experimental short films. By gaining rewards, those films quickly found their place in the international film festivals.
Thanks to this relative success, Addict Films widened its production panel in 2004 with a first feature film, Lies Inc., a documentary regarding the plastic painter André Dussoix, and a technological short film, Cyber Shot.
In 2007, Addict Films fulfilled three ambitious projects: a conceptual dvd called Interact, a documentary, Artist’s Workshop, a short film: Ultimate Super 8, selected in several festivals.
2008 will be an even more promising year, with numerous interesting projects:
a new feature film mixing clinic horror and reflexion on human memory ("Mørke Sjeler"), the creation of an art division in Geneva ("Light Art"), and several collaborations with French, Swiss, and Norwegian production companies.

FEATURE FILMS
> Mørke Sjeler
Addict Films is currently shooting a new feature film in Norway, "Mørke Sjeler (Dark Souls)" with Morten Rudå and Johanna Gustaffson. Shooting format: Super 16mm.
Johanna Ravn, a young teenager who shares her time between her friends and the Internet, is attacked and seemingly murdered while jogging in the forest. Later on at the mortuary however, Johanna wakes up and walks home. Back at her house, Johanna's father Morten receives a phone call from the police announcing Johanna's death. Morten simply assumes this must be a bad joke, as he's just seen his daughter walk in the door, and hangs up. After a while he realises, however, that Johanna is not the same. She is pale; she doesn't express herself at all. Morten calls the police back. Johanna is taken to the hospital, where it is discovered that the attacker in the forest has used a special drill on her, destroying the part of the brain that stores memories. She has been "de-cerebrated."

When "Lies Inc" was released in Norwegian theaters, the press wrote that it was the first Norwegian Science-fiction film.
Amber city is the last city on earth with a breathable atmosphere. In this climate of fear and paranoia, Isan Epel finds herself trapped by her employers, Schilman's inc, after working in secret for two years. Without any memories of her past, she hides in order to escape from her pursuers, and tries to disclose the content of a mysterious microdisc. The narcotic agent Phil Comb is then hired to find her and the disc. But he is too damaged by the drugs he consumes, and loses more and more contact with reality while he begins to understand the machiavellian conspiration around him. His meeting with Isan is going to reveal to him much more than he could have imagined...

SHORT FILMS
> Ultimate Super 8
The short film Ultimate Super 8 is finished since a year, and runs in various international film festivals. Already four selections, including two in the United States.
A journalist interviews a peasant film maker, fan of Super 8 films. The film maker confess his doubts, aspirations and his will to fight against digital media sources.He constantly struggle, day by day, to maintain a vision in which the image will not only be seen as a simple information, but also as a human, warm and sensitive support.

During a TGV trip between Quimper and Paris, a film maker realizes that he is spreading a virus that drives people crazy, called the Gigabout’s Syndrome.

VIDEO CLIPS
> Petiatil Cx Hutdui
Pictures are shot using the legendary "Leicina Special" super 8 camera, with Kodak 64T. This little film has been shot in July, on the top of the Causse mountains located in Cévennes, south of France.
Childhood memories, Super 8 projections, piano melodies... Petiatil Cx Htdui is a pretty little film (2 minutes) about melancoly.
