At the age of 16, he recorded his first album with Malaysian band, Teachers Pet, as a guitarist and songwriter. Thereafter, like all males in Singapore, he had to join the army. When he came out, he joined a local band, CRADLE (EMI). They recorded an album which sold a few thousand copies. The 2 songs he wrote, sang, played and produced were big hits. After they disbanded, ADDY took a break for a few years and then he went solo. He went by the name ADDY, he was also known as ADDY RASIDI. But his CRADLE fans would still call him ADDY CRADLE. (for all those who could have been confused, I hope the air is clear now. 'They' are indeed the same person!) With the release of his first solo album, RAHSIA (which means Secret in Malay), in 2003, he won the award for Best New Solo Artiste in 2004 at the Annugerah Planet Muzik Awards... ..In 2006, ADDY received the Compass Awards for Best Top Local Malay Pop Song (Mengapa Berdusta), composer and lyricist.... .. ADDY brought CRADLE back from the musical grave in February 2007...The much anticipated CRADLE's album, Ceritera Awan was released in September 2007! ADDY started playing guitar when he was 10 years old. At the age of 16, he recorded his first album with Malaysian band, Teachers Pet, as a guitarist and songwriter. Thereafter, like all males in Singapore, he had to join the army. When he came out, he joined a local band, CRADLE (EMI). They recorded an album which sold a few thousand copies. The 2 songs he wrote, sang, played and produced were big hits. After they disbanded, ADDY took a break for a few years and then he went solo. He went by the name ADDY, he was also known as ADDY RASIDI. But his CRADLE fans would still call him ADDY CRADLE. (for all those who could have been confused, I hope the air is clear now. 'They' are indeed the same person!) With the release of his first solo album, RAHSIA (which means Secret in Malay), in 2003, he won the award for Best New Solo Artiste in 2004 at the Annugerah Planet Muzik Awards.
