Adelaide’s Cape is the creative outlet of songwriter Sam Taylor, who has been gigging under the Adelaide's Cape alias since late 2008. He often benefits from the help of Aaron Gouldthorpe, Hannah Richardson, Danny Hurley, Mike Still and Paul Hopkins amongst other friends on a variety of instruments.
Over the course of 2009, Adelaide’s Cape played sellout shows at Norwich Arts Centre and Bristol’s Grain Barge, caught the eye of the BBC as well as a number prominent music reviews websites, and released his debut single as a free digital download.
The first half of 2010 sees him head out on tours with Alessi’s Ark and Rachael Dadd then shows with First Aid Kit in February, before releasing his long-awaited debut EP ‘Last Sleep In Albion’ through Dustbowl Records on March 8th.
Following the release, Adelaide’s Cape heads out on a month-long solo headline tour of the UK and Ireland, returning just in time for a very special show in London at the beginning of May.
With an evergrowing and everchanging full band lineup, the rest of the year includes plans for at least one full band UK tour, festival appearances of all kinds and more solo tours in the UK, Europe and beyond.
Hi Sam and many thanks for the add. Hope to see you at the Communion gig. If you are in the area pop into the Seven Stars (Bristol) tomorrow afternoon Sunday 7th March starting 3.00 pm - playing an extended slot.
I will make the ones at the Union Chapel and the one at The Old Queen's Head on Sun. Do you know what time you scheduled to be on, on sunday?? The Old Queen's Head website is a bit vague saying from 4pm - 12am.
Still I am looking forward to them both :) I know you are doing Luminaire on Sat evening but I wont make that one as I will head off after Union Chapel. Well I am most definately going to be at The Hawley Arms then the Luminaire EP launch then the actual launch at Puregroove (I booked the time off especially)
Well hope you are well. I am good. Last week was crazy went to 6 gigs in a row and some I had work the following morning.
Hi there I had a listen to your music and I like it very much. It's a pity that your Irish tour doesnt take you to Cork. Anyway, good luck with everything in 2010:-) Greetings from Ireland, Lynda x
Hi Sam - sorry it's taken me soooo long to get back to you (nearly 4 months! ) but hopefully better late than never to say thanks for the friend request - you were (and are!) very welcome. Three verrrry tasty tracks you've got up there... best wishes for 2010 James now on facebook too!
