About ADELE ZANE

I was born in Brazil, South America, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and now live in New York.
I started out singing opera but segued into jazz, blues and pop and sometimes a little country and bluegrass.
Two CD's so far - So Blue and Each Time - both can be found on iTunes and CDBaby.
I'm currently at work on my next CD project but haven't hit the studio yet. It's all still in the planning stages. At this rate I'm not as prolific as I'd like to be; but I'm singing as fast as I can. A Greatest Hits compilation is still a ways off, if you know what I mean...
I've done some collaborative songwriting with Michelle Shaw and Frank Ponzio. Check out either of my CDs for original songs - Tell Me is a Shaw/Zane composition on the So Blue CD; Make Your Move, Dear is a Ponzio/Zane tune on my first CD Each Time.
I started my musical career in San Francisco at mostly now defunct clubs, but hey, they were happening when I played them. Since moving to NYC I've been fortunate to play at Birdland and the Irridium several times and have found a musical home at The Cutting Room since they opened their doors in '99. I'm always looking for new venues and places to perform so let me know if you've got a place for me to play.
