Music has been more than a soundtrack to Aden’s life. It was initially a standard family affair centred around the piano. His undergraduate years saw him co-producing jazz concerts featuring some of the most respected talents of the scene: Roy Haynes, Steve Lacy, Archie Shepp, Mal Waldron, and Chet Baker. While studying in L.A., he took drum lessons with Alan Myers of Devo, the infamous US underground geeky Rock band. When he moved to Paris, he quickly discovered the riches of the inappropriately-named “classical music”. For more than ten years he roamed the city attending concerts, recitals, and opera, which he was soon chronicling in the specialised press. In the late 90s, his discovery of electronic music in general and Trance in particular constituted an aesthetic revelation. He soon started deejaying and organized his first party in 2004. His engagement with progressive music lead him to write reviews for his favourite labels and on several electronica sites, and eventually to represent Iboga records. His taste encompasses a broad spectrum of creative, high quality music ranging from the compelling and uplifting build-ups of progressive trance and house to the subtle rhythmic construction and unconstrained nature of Techno. He’s shared the decks with top artists such as Perfect Stranger, Behind Blue Eyes and Tegma. As a contemporay troubadour, he’s spread the vibe to the dance floor crowds in clubs or outdoor parties and festival in Thailand, Mexico and Morocco, as well as France, where he’s played for the some of the most renowned organizations. Joining the Flow records imprint is a further step along this path in which the search for musical excellence and diversity goes hand in hand with his desire to spread the swing of life.
