The phenomenon is tunable in that
the characteristic sounds and
intensities of those sounds depend
on the characteristics of the RF
energy as delivered... Because the
frequency of the sound heard is
dependent on the pulse
characteristics of the RF
energy, it seems possible that
this technology could be developed
to the point where words could be
transmitted to be heard like the
spoken word, except that it could
only be heard within a person..s
head. In one experiment,
communication of the words from
one to ten using ..speech
modulated.. microwave energy was
successfully demonstrated.
Microphones next to the person
experiencing the voice could
not pick up these sounds
I was so sad to read of Sulu's passing. What a great beast he was.
But there are reasons to think of Mr. Sulu and to be happy. I am thinking of his sketchy origins, with the possibility of abuse, but certainly a life on the streets, the life that you rescued him from, to become part of the pack of spotty dogs, to be loved and petted, fed and vaccinated, to get to sleep on soft surfaces and next to loving human caregivers, to wake up every day knowing that he would have all his needs satisfied (we should be so lucky.)
Luck and love were Sulu's lot in life, thanks to you two. And he is far from being not the only one who has you to feel thankful for.
"We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Sahara. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively outnumbers the set of actual people. In the teeth of these stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here."
