Song Details: The Jay Roberts "THE BIG NOW" tracks were recorded live at Roberts Music Institute ( robertmusicsinstitute.com ) in Bellevue WA. To sign up for instruction call (425) 614-4764 Jay Roberts is the son of legendary jazz guitarist and world renowned educator Howard Roberts and jazz drummer Jill Roberts. Jay currently resides in the Seattle area where he is involved in several music performance and recording projects, including the Electric Guitar Duo with Ben Lacy, and the Guitar Synth duo with Don Mock. Jay also plays in the Jazz/Fusion quartet ,“The BIG NOW ,“ with Robert Damper on keyboards, Dan Dean on bass and Brendan Scanlan on drums. The songs featured here are from one of the rare performances of The Big Now. They were recorded by the school using 2-ADK A51s and 3-ADK SC2 microphones only. Engineered and mixed by students and RMI Recording Basics instructor and ADK co-founder Brian Hutchison. Fiesta! is from ADK friends and users East Bay Mudd-Check out their MySpace for more great funk/soul/R&B!
