doing anything with my husband, adam--spending time with my kids, adley and corbin--talking/listening--learning to do new stuff--teaching--reading--sewing (i know, it's wierd and somewhat embarrassing...)--hanging out with my friends, and going to wal mart at 1am (it's like a whole other universe...)--being with students and doing seriously anything at all--laying around and doing nothing with my far-away family (mine and adam's)--and sleeping...yeah, sleeping would be great...not that that happens for me very often (i'm a freakish insomniac)
Musica
i obsess over one cd or song for awhile, then move on. right now, its anything jack johnson. before that, it was POD. before that, plumb, kutless, casting crowns, u2 (lets be honest--u2 is always a goodie). honestly, though, when i can escape from veggietales and kids cds, anything sounds amazing to me. my kids are into tobymac and reliant k, so i hear a lot of that too.
Film
almost anything--we love movies, and will see almost anything for a dollar. i don't like "i know what you did last summer" scary-ish stuff, because i'm an incredible wuss. otherwise, i'm in.
Televisione
THE OFFICE (we're obsessed...there should be 12-step programs for such things)--24 (even though i've only seen season one, i think i should get brownie points that i watched 24 hours' worth in 3 days, right?)--Conan O'Brien--and going old school, Frasier and Seinfeld.
Libri
anything brian mclaren, donald miller, henri nouwen. right now i'm reading a great john may book, and i've got about 52 more on the docket (kids leave you surprisingly little time to read). i want the bible to be on my list, though my reading habits don't always reflect that.
nerdy admission: i've also always loved anything shakespeare and anything that makes me feel more educated than when i started (science, philosophy, and on and on).
on a more shallow note, i love any fiction! i especially go for anything dan brown or jonathan kellerman, and i love reading any pulitzer for fiction. i'm even less discriminating with books than i am with movies (case in point--i'm reading a terrible book right now, and i keep writing it off, yet i keep reading).

Chi sono: my life is a paradox...my perfect and well-thought-out plan for my life seems now seems like a parallel universe, and the life i have doesn't look anything like i expected it to. still, i'm the happiest i've ever been. nuts, no? i love it that someone knows better than i do what will make me happy, and more importantly, what will make me fulfilled. i know now why i matter and what makes me important, and it isn't any of the things i thought it would be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i love my life! in january i will have lived in amarillo, texas for two years. besides the distinct and unpredictable smell of cow excrement, we love it here. we moved from houston (which we love and still miss) to work at a church with some of the most amazing people we've ever known. adam and i work with 6th through 12th graders, and they are incredible! our life feels crazy but really really great. in my former life, i taught college psychology and assessed kids with learning disabilities, but not any more...
the best things in my life are my husband and kids! adam (31), adley (5) and corbin (3) are hands-down the most fun people i know, and i actually get to live with them! i'm at home with my kids for now, and it is so worth it! it's amazing how domestic life sucks you in when you least expect it. life is so wierd and wonderful!

Mi piacerebbe conoscere: the people who made oreos, and the ones who thought it would be a good idea to have a 1:3 sugar to tea ratio in chicken express sweet tea. while we're on the subject of food, i wouldn't mind meeting the people in charge of jack in the box and taco cabana, so i could bully them into putting stores in in amarillo. and seriously, is it really so much to ask for a spring roll in a city of 250,000? (can you tell i'm writing this hungry?)
Things are great here! Yes, working mom stuff is tough at times...lots of juggling. Jason and I trade off certain things which really helps. But weekends are left with cleaning and laundry!
Missy I have missed you so much I have so much to tell you. Shawn ( the one that hates me) we actually have talked not since his birthday, but he dosen't hate me. Carla and I had a huge fight, and I have this amazing guy friend, that is always their for me. I don't work for AISD anymore. But we should get togeather sometime, because i have missed you so much, well I love you and I should get to sleep because i have things to do.
