About ADLIB: Live music, Comedy & Poetry plus Open Mic

AdLib Ent. is an acronym for an Enterprise that is Advertising Liberation. The Advertising stems from our work in Promotions, Events Management and Media Production. Liberation is the vision we have, to present ourselves as an image liberated from the one created within and by society. We try to set ourselves apart from profit driven organisations by creating platforms for new and exciting talents. Through our achievements we aim to be an Advertisement, Liberated from the constraints and typecasts that follow young people today.

As a result we have cultivated an evening of impromptu entertainment described only as "ADLIB". Oxford's Definition of ADLIB: In an unrestrained manner; spontaneously.

ADLIB Open Mic is an open forum designed to provide an eclectic blend of live music, poetry and comedy. Live music on the night is provided to you by our very own highly skilled House Band that consists of Keys, Bass and Drums, with the ocassional support of a Guitar. The host for the night varies as we call upon a variety of talented individuals respected in their chosen field to come and bless the audience. The Open Mic section gives artists an opportunity to showcase their respective talents as they ADLIB with the house band.

Our aim, moto and one rule is to provide a positive environment for all, which requires a low tolerance for obscene profanity. This atmosphere is a platform for artists to bless the audience, whilst they gain experience and establish themselves.

The evening takes place on the 1st Sunday of Every Month in the chilled out, candle lit, cigeratte unihibited lush surroundings of the renown COMEDY CAFE in the heart of Old Street, Rivington Street, EC2A 3AY.
