What makes a Rock and Roll nummber a hit? A good tune? A solid beat? Sure. Catchy lyrics help too. And many a song is given a boost by a solid arrangement. Anything else? You bet.
Teenagers today dig the new, the unusual and once in a great while - the unique. Admiral James T. brought such a sound. He remains, without a doubt, as one of the most influential and innovative forces in the development of rock and roll music (well, almost, maybe). His sound, fueled by the influence of Eddie Cochran, Devo, the Beatles or T.Rex, and spawned in the clubs and taverns of Winterthur, Zurich and elsewhere, evolved into an array of novelty tunes, ballads and straight-ahead rock and roll, all of which had a distinct punk base.
Heavenly rhythms, lovely melodies - Admiral James t. knows how to send his fans into raptures. As the incarnate encyclopaedia of music, he mixes punk, beat, rock and roll, pop, as well as the other two kinds of music: country and western. Any style mankind knows.
With a little help of modern multi-track recording, Admiral James T. is able to play all the instruments by himself. Nevertheless, he's sometimes in need of some human contact, so he rented a bunch of good lookin' musicians to form his backing band: THE BELL GARDEN FOUR.
