Admit Your Defeat is a five piece melodic metalcore band from Pomona. Along with a fluent mix of energetic choruses, harmonized riffs, chugging power breakdowns, and use of optimistic lyrics to call you out on your negative emotions and tiresome ways of living, the band aggressively embraces the positive and sets a driving force that stands out amongst the local scene. From songs like "Learn From Your Mistakes" and "End The Struggle", Admit Your Defeat always tries to impact and give positive influence in every situation you might be facing, while explaining the importance of loyalty and self-worth without ever resorting to negativity, doubt, and giving up on yourself. In a scene of trends, Admit Your Defeat stays true to themselves and the fanbase.
All of the members were raised in Pomona, located in the heart of Southern California, where the band originated and began making a name for themselves. In October 2006, after many failed attempts on both sides, Danny (drums) and Roger (vocals) came in contact with Chris (guitar) and Rudy (guitar) who helped each other finally achieve success in forming a solid group. Soon enough they began to establish a sound when finally the last member of the band, Richard (bass), who was a good friend of Chris and Rudy's, arose from another local band and completed the lineup after several months. With help from their first EP, "What I'd Die For", Admit Your Defeat has spread their music throughout their hometown, as well as much of the Inland Empire and have now began playing shows in other states and cities as well as keeping most of their shows in your local hometown area in a faithful attempt to make their music heard, their message understood, and their name known.
Despite the name, in no way is "Admit Your Defeat" ever telling you to give up, quit, or even to let up when the going gets tough, but to realize and admit what defeats you-- to overcome and dominate any obstacles or flaw that might be standing in your way. So with a explosive beginning and huge potential, along with a bright road ahead, Admit Your Defeat anxiously awaits what could be a huge impact in the world of metalcore.
