Influences
Our songs have a wide range of influences, as each one is different. Our main stylistic influences are indie bands such as Bright Eyes, The Shins, Of Montreal, and Neutral Milk Hotel, as well as singer-songewriters like Bob Dylan, Elliot Smith, and Sufjan Stevens. Our songs also contain post-rock elements akin to those of Godspeed You! Black Emperor (on a much smaller scale) and Mogwai. Basically, we're influenced by everything we hear, and anything that inspires.
Sounds Like
We like to claim an individual and unique sound, but we have previously been compared to Bright Eyes, Elliot Smith, Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice, and Interpol.

After several lineup changes, failed attempts, and roadblocks, Adonis has emerged. Adonis is an indie rock group based out of New Bern, NC and comprised of Terry McElhennon, Attilio Cardelli, and Anthony Cardelli. They have recorded a four track demo called the "Alternate Endings EP".
Many thanks to Anthony for recording us in his studio, Second Street Studios in New Bern. There is no better or more reasonable place for an emerging band to record. Check Anthony out in our top friends and call him up if you want to get something recorded.

Dear Terry, we definitely need to jam soon. I just came up with a bitchin' song that doesn't have any lyrics yet. It's unfortunate. Hopefully before Bernaroo we can get together so I can share some of the possible Bernaroo songs with you.
That is probably the coolest thing I've ever heard anyone say, ever. And thanks a lot for your support throughout BotE's brief existence man, it really meant a lot to me. Maybe one day it will resurrect, but for now, it's rotting in the sun.
