About me: I am a jewelry maker who loves the creation and handcrafting of one-of-a-kind, unique jewelry sets. My passion for the art has set me free from the confines of 'standard' jewelry as I venture into new methods, materials and improvisations. I know that I must please myself before I can please anyone else and, hopefully others will appreciate my work and want to own a unique piece of jewelry art.
Jewelry is often selected subconsciously, reflecting your persona ~ your soul. You can be drawn to a stone metaphysically and not understand the attraction. My desire is to supply enough unique styles that you will instantly find that subconscious attraction.
My preference of materials leans toward natural elements ~ semi-precious gemstones, crystals, shells, glass, wood, metal, satin and braided cord, and coffee beans. I wish I could just design and create jewelry but as a realist I know I need to produce income to support my obsession (and to have more room for new creations)!
I am a member of several websites, including: myspace, flickr, tribe, Indiepublic, talentdatabase, Facebook, Twitter, starvingjewelryartists, webjam, and jewelrynetwork. Never realized this endeavor would be so time-consuming! It is, but stimulating and fun nevertheless.
On a personal note, I am married (40 years!) to a wonderful man, mother to three daughters, and grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren. Oh! and 'mom' to a Jack Russell named "Eddie".
