I have what has been described as the attention span of a hyperactive gerbil. Truly everything interests me. When not in my studio. I am a textile artist and make jewelry. I even have a store on Smashing Darling.com. I am usually reading. Spend hours surfing the internet. To keep my work from becoming dull I try to constantly keep learning about everything from fashion to photography. I also like spending time outdoors. By the end of the week want nothing more than to get outside for as many hours as possible, and my dog gets a bit turbo charged by the weekend. Nearly every weekend go hiking in local state parks. My camera goes everywhere with me. Like the immediacy of photography. Began art as a painter and think photography is more challenging. I can also spend hours cooking. It is a passion.Have been lucky enough to know people from many differant countries who shared with me some of the things they make.
Music
Varied.Sometimes Chris Issac, sometimes Frontline Assembly.Mostly techno and trance and some psycho billy.Listen to alot of Yoshimoto, ATB,Fumiya Tanaka,Deadmau5,Orbital,Trip, and Hexstatic to name a few.
Movies
I like the old ones and have a weakness for B rated sci-fi movies.Metropolis is a favorite. As is Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, The Thing. Also like nearly all of the movies Orson Wells did.Have watched nearly every movie which had Cary Grant, Doris Day, Katharine Hepburn, Lana Turner,Jimmy Stewart, or Specer Tracy in it.In my opinion the old ones are the best. The clothes worn by the actors makes them worthwhile to watch even when the scripts are average.
Television
The Food Network.Good Eats never gets old.Myth Busters. The CO2 tank through the cinder block wall is a classic.I worked in restaurants for years and have seen it happen.I love G4, their japanese game shows. They look insane but fun. Never miss Ninja Warrior.Sorry, but think japanese men are very hot.Wish they had not taken off Super Big Product Fun Show.I also like Brit coms and often watch the BBC.
Books
I will read almost anything. From Issac Asimov to John Steinbeck.Difficult to chose a single author.Seldom pass up a chance to go to a book store.
Heroes
Anyone who has faced adversity in their life without letting it make them bitter and cynical.I truely admire people who can face the most difficult things and retain their sense of compassion for others and keep a senese of humor.
