I've had some great friends/musicians join me for my shows in San Fran; including Kevin Bell (drums), Jenn Curiel (bass), Steve Pierce (lap steel), Jeff Hobbs (cornet, sax, violin), and Eric Yates (flute, sax, accordion). It's been a real treat to have these talented musicians fill out the sound and bring their own flavor and new life to my songs.
BUT, now here I am a little ways to the north, the city of coffee, tattoos, and brew pubs, Seattle. So far, so good. New musicians, new sounds. I've had the opportunity to meet and play with some wonderful musicians and songwriters including Susan Harper, the Side Project , Whitney Monge (a singer/songwriter who I heard down at Pikes Market while she was performing), and then Alicia Healey (another amazing singer/songwriter),who reminds me of Kris Delmhorst.

When Adrian's best friend wanted to start a band, they drew straws to pick who would be the guitar player -- and therefore be famous. Adrian lost the draw, so he got stuck with playing bass. He sold his tricked-out custom BMX and crossed over from trickster to musician without looking back. In 1997 his high school band the Sublime Jam recoalesced after a long hiatus to form San Francisco's local favorite JP*Orbit. They played all over town, from Hotel Utah to the Great American Music Hall before drifting into comfy family lives -- eventually forming the hit kids band Orange Sherbet. In between, he's played fusion, bluegrass, folk, rock and cabaret -- but never his own music.
So in 2006 Adrian began writing and recording a cycle of songs for the album, "Just Another Day," releasing October 2008. The dozen original songs on the album touch on everyday moments that happen to all of us -- staying at home on a cold Saturday, listening to music in the park, taking a minute to slow down and just......be. From fun, feel good tracks like "Your Life" to soft, melodic tracks like "Tumbleweed Sky," Adrian's quiet intensity cuts through the layers of acoustic and electric instrumentation. It's a comfortable, sweet sound that will make you want to kick off your shoes and be yourself, wherever you happen to be.
Yo Adrian..., great to hear from you, and music is still a big part of your life. We still workin' it and gettin' better...every...day! Nice tune, Chris
