Adri Young performs with top musicians from two regional groups: ivoryfoster and Prism as well as with noted pianist Rick Pedro.
Influences
Sheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, Janis Joplin, Carole King, Shawn Colvin, Bonnie Raitt, Pink, Etta James, Pat Benatar, Olivia Newton John and so many more....no genre walls, talented artists are talented regardless of their genre!!
So, if you have been to my official website, you know pretty much everything there is to know. If you haven't gone to the site, check it out at www.adriyoung.com and find out who I am.
Along with my new band Ivory Foster, I recently performed at the Tuneage Fest in Watkins Glen during Nascar's Nextel Cup race weekend--warming things up for Not Quite Nashville, Webb Wilder and Rick Derringer!! Good thing, too, because the sound system blew out 4 songs into the gig, which helped set the stage for an interesting event!!
Funny moment in live performing...
At a recent gig, someone made a sexist remark about taking charge of "the little woman." So, ever the proud self-sufficient woman I try to be, I looked at the ladies and piped up with "so who is going to go home and beat the little man?" YIKES!! Can you say faux paus?!!
Anyway, check things out, listen to the music, be a friend, leave a note and say hi. Be cool.
