Cellists who have been and always will be massive influences on me are - The Chainsaw Sisters, Melora Creager, Sarah Bowman, Regina Mushabac, Pansy Chang. In general - WEEN (most importantly)!!!!!!!, Bjork, Kronos Quartet, Nick Drake, George Szell, Cursive, L. Shankar (AMAZING...). Other sources of inspiration and awe are Aphex Twin, Pink Floyd, The Flaming Lips, T.S. Eliot
Ok, so I'm not a band.... but I play in bands and want to share it with you! I'm classically trained in the USofA, now working in London with all sorts of musicians, from the norm to the wacky. And LOVING it! I play regularly with Lily Fraser, Nathan Ball, and The Cornelius Quartet, and have worked with lots of artists such as Micheal Buble, Il Divo, Take That, and Paradigm X. I'm constantly feeling the urge to leave my classical roots behind, the pull of the rock-celloism tugging harder and harder, but always getting sucked back in by the overwhelming power of Beethoven and Mahler and Ravel and Shostakovich........
hi! how far is manchester from london? i heard 4 hrs but i guess that depends on where you are. ill be in london around the end of may. maybe we can meet up for a few drinks!

Danny Norbury & Andrew Hargreaves We've been trying to get Danny to come and play a solo set ever since Static Caravan released his mini-album, Dusk, on mini-CD last year. It sold out rather quickly, and picked up some great reviews, which is no surprise: it's a stunning piece of work. Danny is heading out on tour with The Boats later this month and has enlisted the help of Boatman Andrew Hargreaves for this special set.
Hi Adrianne, great to hear from you, things are going well here, the studio shouldn't be too long away. How are you keeping? Are you in France? Will you come over for the opening party if you're free? (No date yet will let you know when) See ya later , Brian
