Adrien and the Fine Print are a five piece band out of the Back Bay of Boston with a rich sound and a sharp, intelligent focus on the craft of songwriting. The Fine Print's songs come from the broad spectrum of youth, incorporating tales of wanderlust, dance halls and debutantes, lost love, unrequited love, and a desire for something you just can't quite put your finger on. Dotted throughout the music are reflections of songwriterAdrien Saporiti and guitarist Joey Bennett's Southern upbringing, fleshed out by the lyrical phrasing of Renee Izzi's violin. Having formed in fall of 2007 at the music college they all attend, the band is now completed by drummer Dany Orozco and bassist Chris Mewhinney.
Adrien and the Fine Print are known for a tight, vivacious live show, and their debut EP "Honey for Bees" recently spent a month at No.2 on Boston radio.
Here's what has been said about their sound:
"A must hear for music fans with a penchant for the fiddle"
- Tuft's Daily
"Fans of bands/artists such as Wilco, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan will go ga-ga for Adrien And The Fine Print. The songwriting is very strong and the performance was outstanding."
- Wildy's World
"They aren’t trying to be fashionable or trendy. They write and play songs that you will be humming in your head for days...."
- The Noise
Going to debut your album tonight on the radio. One song between 8:45 & 9:00 and the second after 9:30. Listened to it on the drive down from Boston. Great stuff! We should get you here in the studio sometime soon.
I love your music. I had no idea that the kid who always comes into our ensemble office had such good tunes....lol. Just kidding. Adrien will always be an honorary ensemble room monitor.
woohoo well i just listened to Virginia as per the advice in your latest blog post and i don't quite know what it is exactly about but i gave a valiant effort soooo can i still have ten bucks?
exciting, right? we had done a few shows at jjs and sam owns bobbie's as well. wanted us to do something over there. you around this summer? you should come . . .
Hello Adrien and the Fine Print, thanks for looking us up and hope you can make it out to Church next Friday, where we play with 3 other bands in Boston. The tunes sound good. Brian
not only am i alive (and awful at promptly responding to myspace quotes) but i'm moving to cambridge!! i'll be starting grad school at harvard in the fall.
good idea! i think by august all my band ins back in town too, and we're recording in late may/early june so we might actually have an EP to sell. i'll see what i can come up with. do you have any ideas for venues? easy ones are cafe coco, which is a pretty good sized venue but way too small of a stage, and bongo java which i think is probably too small of a venue.
post the lyrics to all your songs! seventy times seven is so great.
i'm listening to seventy times seven and it's really freaking catchy. i really love it. get some lyrics posted! reading along is so much fun. and then i can sing along and it's all good.
