"There is something about Adsono which feels totally spiritual. It is more, far more than the music. It is their personas, their energy, spirit and sheer joy which shines through on stage. Tonight they were lead by an almost tribally driven djembe which backed a variety of rhythms ranging from African to East European to South American. With incredibly passionate vocals, at times bordering on chanted, Adsono's music is powerful, affecting and emotional. Despite such intensity they play with smiles on their faces and with an almost laid back appeal which, on tonight's evidence, makes them hugely enjoyable. Adsono's return to the music scene has been a highly emotional one; with a little fortune on their side festival slots await in 2008." BHONE Tony Foster 27/12/2007
"Next up for this festive affair were the band Adsono. The band has a myriad of influences which give them a unique sound and makes for intriguing listening, they are also the second band tonight with a djembe player. Their music is at worst inspired and at best, masterful. They come across as very passionate over their work, and have an almost entrancing effect on you as they draw the audience into the music; indeed, they appear under their own spell as they play. The front man’s personality takes up the entire building with his charisma and vibrancy, as the rest of the band play to their instruments and provide an exceptionally fine quality of canvas for him to bombard with colours and shapes, forming a masterpiece in front of your eyes." Niall Fealty, 21 Feb 08. BHone.co.uk
"After a two year hiatus the Bournemouth band that spent the summer of 2004 wowing the festival crowds is back! A tribal infused sound is created by this three piece who exude lashings of energy with their djembe driven beats and an extremely powerful vocalist." Mr Kyps music venue gig guide, Dec 2007.
"There is a band each year that takes the whole festival by surprise and this year it was Adsono." Tim Richardson, Larmer Tree Festival 2004.
"Adsono have established their credentials as one of the best local bands around despite their relatively short time on the scene. Another group whose sound is hard to pen words to, Adsono blend a range of djembe-driven beats and guitars, with interesting and original vocal melodies and hooks." Mr Kyps music venue gig guide, Dec 2004.
"Adsono- Waltz
Charming, radiant and graceful, Waltz has all the feel of a hot summers day and all the making of a festival classic. Angelic guitar blends wonderfully with the beats of a djembe, and the passionate vocals add extra flavour to a track that will keep you looking forward to festival season all year. Both original and inspiring." Sallyforth Music, The Shortlist, 10/11/07
In the summer of 2005 Adsono disintegrated due to collective mental health problems. After more than two years in self imposed separation, exile, and spiritual confusion, Adsono have returned with new songs, and are working on a demo which will appear on the site in instalments. Please note these these are only rough versions, and don't represent the finale recordings.
Do come along to a recital if you get the chance. X

JOE WILKES
"Joe Wilkes is one of those all-too-rare musicians who, when they play, make you believe in them instantly….The great beauty of Here On This Frontline is encapsulated perfectly by the title track, which paints an exotic musical backdrop in front of which is played a poignant love song, born out of tragedy. The whole thing is delivered with such delicacy that it can’t fail to move even the most hardened of cynics….Joe Wilkes doesn’t patronize his audience or trivialize his music, this is a serious album that shines bright".

HONEY ON MY GRAVE
Honey on my Grave is a 4-piece band that brings together Old Time, Blues and original songs with a bit of Country attitude. The band was formed following jam sessions at acoustic festivals around Bristol. The band members come with a litany (great word) of influences but Glen's preoccupation with the 70's glamband 'Sweet' is a worry.
To be honest with you, Blandford is not ready for you! You are far too interesting and original for them!!!!!!!!! I grew up there and have now run away to Boscombe. Best to stay well away I think. xxx
