See comments below on Television... most of our movies themes are resulting in a spiraling downward in our morality as a nation... vote for a change... how do you do that... just dont waste your time and money on the garbage movie fiasco they call hollywood.

Television in general is what is grossly wrong with america... hollywood is winning the battle to control our minds and worse than that the minds of our children... why do we have so much violence with our youth?? all the school shootings??? the kids going crazy and killing their parents?? we have seen it all played out in the news repeatedly... yet we stay mesmerized by the tube... and the movies... whats most popular is the violence theme shows... next to that and probably number one is the sexual content and inuendo... pervasive to the point of being outright obscene.. yet we watch it... and allow our kids to watch it too... no wonder they speak with such foul words... cussing is becoming the norm... use of four letter words has become acceptable in society... no one blinks an eye anymore... all the young stars are either drunks or addicted to illegal drugs... just look at the papers to confirm this... terrific role models for our children... no wonder they are in such a comatose state... wake up parents... and kill the tube... control what they see... and be responsible like God meant you to be... and for all the youth which might be reading these few words... reflect on your future... dare to be different from the crowd... just cause the crowd is jumping off the cliff... does not mean that you have to go too... wise up... grow up

There is much literature written abt the holy scriptures... but the bottom line is dont read a commentary or other analysis... read the source... read it often... ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in your reading so that you get the understanding... and finally... apply it to your life... live the word of God... dont just seek the knowledge without the application... Find a good Bible Believing Church that preaches strong... and that does not bend or water down the Bible. If it does that... it will never be a real popular church... but it will be a good church... and you will be blessed in attending. Next... get yourself some good Christian friends and have yourself some good bible studies... and you will be on your way... The Great Apostle Paul - wrote half the new testament, most unlikely to succeed... he was the greatest prosecutor of early Christians...yet God chose him... and used him to spread the Christian movement... his work is still producing much fruit for the kingdom of God... my prayer is to develope the tenacity which Paul had... he could have quit a thousand times... yet he pushed on and on... he was the first real missionary and the greatest... we can all learn from him and all the books which he wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.
Moses, Abraham, Jacob, Job, The three Hebrew Boys, Daniel, Ruth, Gideon, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Matthew, Luke, John, etc, etc. My heros are the heros of the Holy Scriptures... those that loved the Lord and dedicated their live to living in accordance to his commandments.
All the couragous Reformers... Martin Luther, Swingli, John Calvin.. etc... who had the courage to stand up to the hipocracy of the catholic church and dare to stand on the scriptures alone... As a result of their work and fortitude... we have the protestant movement of today... bibles are available in our own language and religious freedom is here... many take all this for granted... many of the reformers were martyered... we should be thankful. They walked the walk inspite of tremendous perils and risks... but of course they did... they were and are heros.
About me:
Im basicly a NY/NJ Puerto Rican displaced and now living in the deep south... been here for abt six yrs now and still adapting to the pace... I classify myself Pentecostal and very Charasmatic. My doctrine is strictly Five Point Calvinism. Faith Alone, Scripture Alone and Christ Alone... AMEN.
I really dont like labels, and I'm also comfortable in Baptist Churches... I love Adventist Churches... Catholic Churches, Methodist Churches... in short... any church which raises up the name of Christ. So no matter what denomination you pertain too...we are still family... kin to the master... sons and daughters of the living God. How nice it would be if all Christians would work together to bring the message of the Gospel to the world... instead of fighting and bickering with each other. To much division... not enough love. I dont feel that being part of a denomination... any denomination guarantees anything... salvation is by faith... and faith alone. And that faith is a gift of God. All the work of salvation is a work of the triune God.
I try to lead my life according to the word of God. My life has changed completly and I now preach on the radio regularly as well as many local churches in the northern Georgia area. I have also just started a blog... please take a few moments to read some of the postings and leave a comment... I used to be a strict vegetarian (vegan), but developed health issues due to the amount of grains... noticebly wheat... was diagnosed as a celiac... funny word... basicly means that you have a sensitivity to wheat and it can cause problems... it did for me... so I now follow a paleo diet which excludes all wheat, beans and all grains... but not to worry... i can eat lean meats (no bacon, ribs, sausage), fish, fresh fruits and all non starchy veggies... terrific... no longer suffer from the health problems.. now my blood pressure is perfect and as a secondary benefit... my shoulder arthritus mysteriously dissappeared... amazing... but true... im here on myspace to meet fellow christian friends and maybe a new lady... which has eluded me for a long time... i am hopefull....

My personal life is not one really to brag about... I have two children which I have not seen in approx twenty years. Divorce is never pretty and it turns life upsidedown for all parties involved. As in my case it often seperates kids from their parents. It hurts and it hurts alot. Guess what hurts the most is waiting twenty years hoping and praying that one day one would get to meet those children... then the opportunity presents itself... and the parent is rejected... discarded... its my plight... they are not interested in knowing or acknowledging me... all I want them to know is that I have never stopped thinking about them and that I love them immensly.
