About me:
ADVENTURE CLUB | Two suburban white guys in hipster/slacker garb mixing sketch comedy and rapping may not sound promising, but Justin Jackson and Daryl Amandes of Adventure Club pull it off. They take themselves seriously enough to dignify both forms - Jackson was schooled at I.O. and ComedySportz and Amandes has released an album as MC Me Myself & Rhyme. But they don't take themselves so seriously that posturing takes priority over comedy. In hip-hop, joking goes as far back as boasting, and the duo's crafty goofy rhymes on food, high school, and girls channel Slick Rick and the playful Eminem. A deft freestyle session at the end provides an eyebrow-raising exclamation point. Guest performers include local stand-ups, spoken-word artists, and musicians. - Ryan Hubbard, Chicago Reader
The last fifteen minutes of freestyle are not to be missed: Justin Jackson and Daryl Amandes, both young improvisers, skillfully weave words and thoughts together like they've been doing it for years. - Steve Heisler, Time Out Chicago Magazine

i busted the crap out of my knee and have been out of commission for a week...but things are looking up. it might have been kharma from that bike ride i missed a few weeks back, justin, as i got into a huge accident on the way home and my right leg has not been the same. luckily, i have been able to count on my left.
Last nights show was awesome to the Nth power, and n stands for never ending, so basically the awesomeness factor was pretty much as awesome as awesome gets. And lets be honest, if you can't break a guitar on stage, the next best thing is breaking a tamborine. Well done.

Nothing says comedy like meeting up with you guys, talking shop for an hour, walking over to the playground, getting alittle drunk, telling jokes, inviting myself over to Justin's after the show to play some video games, and then only leaving when everyone's really fucking sick of me.
Thanks for everything guys, its a smokeshow every time.
