A.O.I. members, ranging in age from 13 to 20 years old, are: Maeve (MC Prodigy), Soreya (a real prodigy), Amandla (queen of vocals), Victoria (most photographed Willie Mae camper of all time), and Sarah (songwriting aficionado).
A.O.I. (Adventures of Isabel) is a high-energy five-piece band with rock-solid grooves, tremendous pop hooks, and an undeniable stage presence. We play everything from "woe-is-me" ballads to "I'm-better-than-you” punk-ness. With help from our AWESOME band coaches Kathleen Hanna and Sara Landeau, and engineer Jon Weiner, we just recorded our first demo at Oscilloscope, the Beastie Boys’ studio.
A great big "THANK YOU!!" to all of you for being so supportive of us and helping us create our voice, and for helping us get it out there. Also a GIANT thank you to Hanna Fox and her family, for letting us rehearse in their home, and for all the fun we have and for all the juice boxes. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without them. We're so grateful for all the time and hard work that has been put into creating this band, and this amazing experience. Also a super special thank you, to Kate Milford who takes amazing photos for Willie Mae Rock Camp and made us look awesome. And THANK YOU WILLIE MAE ROCK CAMP!!!!
