I have not been personally affected by SBS but it has touched my heart. I've always wanted to help child abuse victims. So, I've made it my mission to do so. My younger step-brother was abused and neglected until my Mom & Step-Dad got custody of him...and they had to fight hard.
I'm a Criminal Justice student due to graduate in Dec. 2007. I am planning on going on to be a Children's Advocate. Let's all do our parts to help prevent SBS and Child Abuse. Our children are innocent and they are our future!!!

• One shaken baby in four dies.
Some studies estimate that 15% of children's deaths are due to battering or shaking, and an additional 15% are possible cases of shaking.
• Of the 37 children that died in Florida in 1995-96 13 died from a combination of Shaken Baby Syndrome/ Head Trauma.
• Of the thousands that survive death, serious injury usually occurs.
"SBS" victims range in age from a few days to a few months old; the average is six months.
• More than 60% of the victims of Shaken Baby Syndrome are male.
• Almost 80% of the perpetrators of Shaken Baby Syndrome are male

Just stopping by to say hello, and hope all is well your way...So nothing new with Brynden's Case...They have set yet another Pre-trial on June 22nd, and a Trial on July 14th...However I go in to talk with the States Attorney this week, so who knows how this will go...Anyways keep us in your thoughts and prayers always, and continue to pray that Brynden receives the justice he so rightfully deserves, and that the courts will not give up on him, and a jury will give a murderer exactly what he deserves...Well have an awesome day!!!

We may be ordinary people but we were put on this Earth to do extraordinary things. I believe we each have it in us the strength and power to create an impact and make a change in this world . We just have to search deep within ourselves and find that courage and that strength that lies in our hearts and put it to use in a good, positive way that will bring about the change that this world need.
MyHotCommentsHOW HAVE THINGS BEEN ON YOUR END...OURS IS GOING GOOD, THE TRIAL FOR BRYNDEN'S MURDER HAS BEEN POSTPONED...IT WAS SCHEDULED TO START ON MARCH 10TH, HOWEVER PETE'S PUBLIC DEFENDER HAS HAD PROBLEMS CAUSING OUR TRIAL TO BE DELAYED...I HAVE ANOTHER STATUS HEARING ON MARCH 16TH, I BELIEVE THEN THEY WILL SET ANOTHER TRIAL DATE...WILL BE SO GLAD WHEN THIS IS OVER AND BRYNDEN CAN FINALLY REST IN PEACE, AND FOR SOME KIND OF CLOSURE FOR US...THEY STILL HAVE THE CHARGE OF FIRST DEGREE, BUT WENT BEFORE A GRAND JURY ON FEB. 25TH, AND ADDED THE CHARGES OF AGGRAVATED BATTERY OF A CHILD...ANYWAYS CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR US, THE TRIAL IS CLOSER THAN IT HAS BEEN SO FAR...I ALSO KNOW THEY HARE DOING EVERYTHING HUMANLY POSSIBLE FOR PETER TO NOT GET TO WALK OUT SCOTT FREE...THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR BRYNDEN, AND SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME...THIS ISN'T OVER YET, BUT I HAVE FAITH THAT WE WILL HAVE A GREAT OUTCOME...WELL HAVE A GREAT DAY...STOP IN AND SAY HELLO, MADE ALOT OF NEW CHANGES TO BRYNDEN'S PAGE...ALSO PLEASE SIGN OUR GUESTBOOK...
