Originally called Evil Whisper, the band arose in 2001, thanks to Pedro (guitars, vocals and drums) and Nino (bassguitar and vocals).
They wrote the first two song: Massacre and Dead For Cold.
The project took a new shape when Max and his guitar joined the band in 2002.
This line up gave birth to songs like Dedicated to Belzebuth and The Last Battle.
Moreover they began to look for artistic names, to prove definitely how serious their purpose of playing whit care was.
Pedro, Nino and Max are stilled known as Hydro, Astaroth and Nebula.
Another turning point took place at the end of the year 2005 when Manu, with the name of Æ was hired to play drums.
All the songs were reviewed, and was found a new impressive name for the band which is the one we know today: Ægre.
It was in that period that the song Evil Whisper was composed, in honour of the old name.
The line-up was completely balanced when Gabriele, alias Dark Adam, joined the band as a vocalist.
In the lasts years the name Ægre started to became more popular in italy with some live events in which they showed talent and devotion to the music.
